The Rain Garden Initiative hosted a green infrastructure workshop on November 5th and 6th at the Toledo Zoo titled "Managing Wet Weather with Green Infrastructure". This workshop featured speakers on a variety of topics, including
stormwater management, greywater and water reuse, green infrastructure on brownfield sites, and much more! The second day was spent in the field visiting local examples of green infrastructure projects.
The workshop was sponsored by the Rain Garden Initiative, in partnership with U.S. EPA and Tetra Tech. The local planning team included City of Toledo, American Rivers, Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District,
Toledo Zoo, USDA-NRCS, and The Nature Conservancy.
