RGI Small Grants Program

Thank you for your interest in installing a rain garden at your home, school, or place of business. Below you will find an application for funding assistance for your rain garden project. The maximum award for a homeowner project is $100.00, with larger demonstration grants to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis pending funding availability and scored criteria. Applicants will be accepted when funding is available and will be kept on file for a one-year period.  Grants will be awarded based on funding availability and applications on file. This is a reimbursement process and will involve submission of all documented costs and receipts.

​Applicants must:
  • Schedule a technical assistance visit with an RGI member to identify the garden location and size
  • Provide match equal to at least 50% of total project costs (may include in-kind services, other donations, grants, etc.)
  • Provide “before” and “after” pictures of the rain garden and an updated photo annually for use by the RGI
  • Document costs and submit receipts in order to be reimbursed
