The Toledo-Lucas County Rain Garden Initiative (RGI) is offering the Master Rain Gardener Class in the Toledo Area to help us build a strong core of Master Rain Gardeners with enthusiasm for promoting gardening for water quality across our community. The 5-session class will be offered by local trainers in partnership with the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office.
This course will enable participants to create a step-by-step plan for installing a rain garden.
Sessions will cover:
Certification upon course completion requirements. Each participant is required to attend all sessions and install a rain garden or adopt a public rain garden, providing needed restoration and maintenance for a year.
Course materials and light refreshments will be provided. It is a great opportunity for those who have an interest in installing a rain garden at home or would like to be a resource for their neighbors going forward.
We can’t wait to see the all the new rain gardens added to our landscapes!!
